Do your job well, think twice but say nothing, and make sure they can give you a good recommendation.
And do a little self analysis and see if you are part of your own demise. That happened to me so understand.
I recommend, as with others, that you just ride things out through the next several months. YOU know that you will not be returning, and that should at least put your mind at ease somewhat.
The last HD that I worked with here was actually told by administration a couple of weeks before the end of the regular football season that he was not going to be rehired. I know it is a little different than your situation, but the way he was treated by admin, staff, and students from that point on was awful.
Good luck for the future.
I hate my job. HATE IT! Every single thing about it. I hate my admin, hate my ineffective FAD, hate the counselors, hate one of my coworkers (the other one is whatever), hate the school culture and I hate coming to work everyday.
It makes me physically ill. I cry on my way to work at least 3 times a week. I find zero joy in the day to day. It's effecting me outside of work since I'm always tired. My husband says all I do is complain about work.
We have decided that no matter what, I will not return after this school year. I really just want to turn in my resignation but I know people will start treating me poorly but I also want them to know how much they have killed my spirit.
Has anyone turned in a resignation early in the year just because. I have no future job prospects. But emotionally I can't be here again.
