Re: Online Masters in Music Ed with Low Gpa
I had a 2.76 undergrad GPA. Working on my doctorate now. Did well on GRE and there were no issues with me getting in the masters program at UT Tyler. As I tell everyone, they want your money and will find a way to get you in. Some universities will admit you on a provisional basis while you prove you can hang. Pick where you want to go and connect with graduate admissions.
Anybody have any recommendations on how to recover a low gpa for graduate school? Let's say I didnt "figure it out" until the last 2 years of college, and have a sub 3.0 gpa because of bad choices and bad situations. My last 60 hours (including student teaching) is above 3.0, but overall I'm a tad bit lower then a 3. Anyone have experience with this? I would love the opportunity to approach a masters with my current work ethic and mentality, but I'm not sure if that ship has sailed.
