Re: Individual band videos at UIL State Marching Contest
I agree. I think it's ridiculous that videos can no long be made of bands performances at any UIL contest by a company. How are our kids supposed to gain any insight for improvement of we can't get recordings of the state contests? And before anyone says it, I seriously doubt that every single school in the entire state of Texas has purchased the rights to play recorded music over their sound systems at football games and other events. We always, always, always knuckle under instead of standing up for our kids, directors and programs. smh
No. Thanks to Tresona bullying UIL into this crap, only 1 video can be made for educational, archival use and CANNOT be sold. Why we band directors havenít handed together and thrown a huge fit about this is beyond me!!
Probably illegal, also yes.
Is it even possible to order videos of individual band performances at the UIL State Marching Contest?
