Oh, there's so much this person did wrong, it's almost comical...
-They spent their entire budget in the first month on "theatre makeup" and used all the "theatre makeup" before the end of September (by "theatre makeup" I really mean Halloween type makeup that the kids basically wasted by smearing it all over the walls, floors, and themselves
-They let the kids apply said makeup on themselves so it look like open wounds, then let the kids leave class like that causing teachers and admin grief
-They allowed the students to paint the walls in their room with glow in the dark paint without permission
-They kept sending the "undesirable" students to other classrooms without permission of administration or the other teachers
-They tried to convince other elective teachers to permanently take some of these "undesirable" students into there class for the rest of the year
-They bought some of his classes Chick-fil-a for lunch as a minor reward with out asking the principal for permission, violating FMNV. Not only that, they had these students come to their classroom to eat this during their lunch, but left his other classes they had at the time unattended. The classes that were in the room during this time didn't get to participate in the reward lunch
-They Missed 8.5 days of school in the first 9-weeks and were late five times (as in came in 2nd period or later)
-Most of those times, he failed to contact the school to let them know they were going to be absent or late. It wasn't until my assistant or I contacted the office that they even knew anything was amiss.
-After they unquiet the first time, they continued to miss three more days and arrived late at least three times.
-When a student asked them why they always arrived late or were absent from school, this "teacher" responded, "Because I can and I always will, and there is nothing they can do about it." He said this in front of a SpecEd para who was sent to watch his class. This para (a tough as nails Vietnam vet) had to use all his restraint to keep from punching this teacher
-They threatened to go to HR to report the principal for "harassing" them about missing work or arriving late before they quit the first time.
-They did go to HR right before the last time to get more sick/personal days added to their account
The list goes on. Sometimes I really wish there could be a "Don't Hire" database for those who really don't need to be in the teaching profession.
