Re: District "cold weather" rehearsal policy?
This has been an interesting topic to read. As someone who grew up in CT, I never thought about it being too cold to march. Our last game was always a crosstown rivalry game on Thanksgiving afternoon. Snow was not uncommon. I’m not saying that districts shouldn’t have cold weather policies, I just never thought about it.
Huh. Here's a new one on me. I got somewhat of a 'warning' from my front office after marching rehearsal this morning. The temp was mid-30s but we have a ball game tonight and have to run the show, rehearse with drill team, etc.
Front office emailed me a district document outlawing outside rehearsal for temps below 40 degrees. Is that really a thing??
What about the ball games themselves? I've had plenty of below 40 degrees football games and they didn't cancel those.
Am I alone in this?
