NO, not true. Hydrocarbons are Hydrocarbons.
This is false information.
If you have any remaining non-synthetic oil in the valve, it'll turn to goo. Hetman is great oil, but once you use it, you're locked into it until you get the horn flushed.
I had a lot of luck earlier this year applying Hetman Rotor Oil to the back exterior of the valve where. 2 drops, sit, wiggle, repeat.
Worked on 4 rotor tubas as well as several of our horns
Well we're taking out concert instruments and many haven't been played all summer (of course).
Got some stuck rotors on concert French horns. What is the best way to unstick these things?
