This is correct. I played this set last year and I loved the music, but the chord tuning is not easy. Some voices will have the same pitch from bar to bar but it becomes a different part of the chord so adjusting can be confusing if your kids donít understand 3rds and 5ths. It can be used as a great teaching tool. Tuning the upper horn part in I vow to thee was a bear too.
Percussion parts are cake
In addition to Flourish you have to play I Vow to Thee My Country for a grade 4.
I also believe Glaciers is a very playable piece as long as you have a solid flute soloist and good horns.
Has anyone played the following pieces? If so, please let me know if they're playable by a fairly young high school band.
