We have had two students experience this. One was a lead trumpet and the other was a trumpet also.
If you use any of the breathing gym techniques, this can used to help them get back in shape after a few weeks of sitting out.
Our students were easily fatigued and it does take a while to recover! It will be a slow process. They should have breathing apparatus(the tube with the ball) that they need to use every day.
Hope this helps!
I have a Senior Tuba who has doctor's orders to not play or participate in band or athletics for at least a month due to a collapsed lung.
I'm completely fine and support his doctor's wishes.
My question is, has anyone dealt with this before, and what's the best approach to getting him back to playing?
