I have beginners on either trombone or trumpet. Most of my students can (trumpet hit low C's or G's) and (trombones B Flat or F). I have some students who are opening the aperture too much. I ask them to close the lips more, but I dont think what I am saying is helping them. How do I get those kids to close their aperture? Are there some other tricks or sayings I can use to help them. Most of them are getting their corners in (lines can be seen in the mirror) . Any brass help would be appreciated!
