I also feel sorry for the directors. Kids are resilient and will never know the difference. Imagine the mental drain the adults are dealing with.
At my old school, there is only one counselor now and schedule changes are not a priority. The current director has 7th & 8th grade beginners in all of the classes. Students have been dumped in all classes.
Soon, the principal will make an decision that there will be no more schedule changes and that will be it. When I was still there, Parents came up to get their children moved from the band classes that they never wanted; parents were told that there was not room in any other class.
This is the 4th week of school.
Old Counselor said " ... the computer says that you can have up to 200 students per class period."
Since I retired, they are on their 3rd new Band Director.
I feel sorry for the students.
Anyone else still have their campus changing schedules? Just curious
