Dr Sivana was a Captain Marvel light character, which seemed like they should have just done Black Adam, which was alluded to in 3D wire frame from the past, in what looked to be Egyptian. He let out the 7 deadly sins on mankind. I wish the doctor had different powers related to the 7 sins somehow instead of strength, flight, and control of electricity.
No name for Shazam except Captain sparkly fingers. This kind of left the movie as a Real American Hero take on the character. Everyone in the theatre was waiting for someone to say Captain Marvel. Or at the very least Captain Thunder. Be nope, no name through the entire movie except the Smallville reference to the Red Blur. Sad.
I liked the family with Freddy and Mary, but I think it was terrible to make Billy’s mom and dad these terrible people.
While I was surprised I liked it, it just didn’t seem like Captain Marvel. And it wasn’t. Oh well.
I wish that instead of 6 Shazams that they would have been made into the personification of the elders giving Billy advise and support like in the TV show.
