But whichever DC chooses to do, I would not care to see either Jerry Ordway or John Byrne involved. I'd much rather see Alex Ross brought in with creative control over the series, as the co-plotter and cover artist. Bring in someone like Jim Krueger or Grant Morrison (who expressed interest in doing a Captain Marvel series) to co-plot with Ross and finish the scripts. For interior art, I'd like to see Alan Weiss given another chance to do Captain Marvel, even if only for the first year. After that, bring in a new, young guy who can emulate Gil Kane's Captain Marvel from the DC COMICS PRESENTS ANNUAL.

: Ok, I know the POS series had it's share of
: flaws. But let's face it, it's now been over
: 10 years with no monthly Shazam series in
: sight. I'd rather DC had just given the POS
: a new writer. If the Power of Shazam hadn't
: been cancelled. We'd now be reading issue#
: 171! That's 124 issues we missed out on.
: Plus a 50th, 75th, 100th, 125th & 150th
: issues anniversary issues. SHAZAM! Mike

: At this point I'd be very happy to see the
: POS brought back starting back up with
: issue#48. With art chores by Jerry Ordway or
: John Bryne with a good inker. But have Mark
: Waid or some one of his writting ability
: write the series. Maybe with Ordway
: co-plotting the book.
