From my own collection is a Montblanc 256. The nib is double broad. Ink Window color is blue. Fills and writes smoothly. Montblanc 2XX Series are prone to developing cracks in the cap, so mine does have a couple of micro cracks. The previous owner has had the cap inside installed with thin sheets to stabilize the cracks. Back in the day the Montblanc 256 advertisement proclaimed "Soft and Bouncing Nib for Expressive and Flamboyant Handwriting." Some 256 owners say that the nib is the most balanced and smoothest writing ever been accomplished with a fountain pen. No service history. Asking $255 plus $20 shipping within continental U.S.A.
