1930’s Columbus Red Marbled Celluloid Pen & Pencil Set

Rare Columbus button filler fountain pen & matching pencil set in vibrant red marbled celluloid circa 1930's. The button filler pen had its sac replaced and fills and expels water smoothly. The flexy nib is marked “Warranted 14K 3”. Both pen and pencil are engraved “SIAP”. A paper I received when I first got this set says that the letters indicate Italian Sindicate of Police and that a small number of these promotional sets were produced for their high officials.

The set is housed in its original box signed “Carlo Benzi, Stilografiche di Lusso, Portici Accademia 13, Genova”
