Eversharp introduced the Skyline in 1941 and this pen is an early production model, full size (13.4cm) with the relatively rare stainless steel cap, black barrel, ink window and lovely two-tone fine nib. It is in excellent condition. The nib is a firm fine smooth writer. The lever filler draws in a lot of ink – Skylines were noted for their large capacity with the tapered sac making the most of the streamlined barrel - and expels ink vigorously.
It was years before I found a steel-cap model which seem to be less common than even the silver cap. I guess that steel became too valued during the war years to be used for pen caps.
