The Parker 21 was announced in 1948 to provide a lower priced pen for students and became very successful as it still offered a hooded nib design following the by now ionic 51. And as Parker had hoped, the 21 did not undermine the higher priced 51 but added to Parker’s sales success.
The is the Mark II 21 which has some design changes to improve the ink flow and the clip changed from convex on the Mark I to concave on the new model. It is in very good condition with just usual marks of use on the barrel. The filler works well and the Octanium (an alloy of 8 metals) nib is a very smooth writer.
