A classic 1950s Parker 51 aerometric with burgundy barrel and hood and gold filled cap, made in the USA in the 1950s. The cap band has the Parker imprint on the front and “/10 Gold Filled Made In USA” on the back.

The pen is in good condition, the barrel has just the usual marks of use, no dents; the cap has no dents and just some small bits of brassing below the imprints, only visible under magnification; the clip is excellent with the grey jewel. The filler and nib have been cleaned and reassembled, the filler works well and the fine nib is a very smooth writer.

(I was given a burgundy 51 when I left Grammer School (not this one); it was the most sought after pen by students at the time, a step up we thought from the common Platignums, Conway Stewarts and such.)
