Quite uncommon I think, an elegant desk set with polished wood base and two gold-plated tulips housing a CF fountain pen and ballpoint/rollerball pen with twist design barrels.
The set is in excellent condition and both pens are in fine working order. The fountain pen has a CF converter (and a spare) and the other pen has a working Waterman ballpoint refill; it takes modern Waterman ballpoint or rollerball refills.

The CF (Cartridge Filler) pens were a major break in Waterman’s traditional pen design; they commissioned the CF design from Harley Earl, head of the Art & Colour department at General Motors and the CF became the most successful postwar Waterman pen range. It was made for about 30 years in a wide range of materials from to silver and gold. But this is the only the second desk set I have seen.
