Not bought as a set but of a similar age with flat tassies, a fountain pen, ballpoint pen and pencil in sterling cisele pattern, all in excellent condition and all made in the U.S.A. None have date codes; they pre-date the introduction of date codes by the French factory after 1979.
The fountain pen is an early model, c1966 with the original metal converter, flat tassies, nib angle scale with the “0” centre mark and a number 75 oblique nib. The cap band has the “Parker” imprint on the front, “Made in U.S.A” of the back and “Sterling Silver” on the side. The pen also has London hallmarks showing that it is sterling silver imported in 1966 by PPCo. So the hallmarks are: PPco, London Silver Import Mark, 925 for sterling silver and the date code L for 1966. The pen has the original Parker 75 converter and the nib feed has the nib number “75”. The pen is in fine condition with no brassing to the gold filled parts and do scratches or dings to the silver.
The ballpoint also has flat tassies and is in excellent condition noting that the cap tassie does have some brassing of the gold fill. It has a working refill and takes the current Parker refills. The cap has the Parker imprint and “Sterling Cap & Barrel U.S.A” on the rear of cap band. The front of the cap band is blank.
The pencil also has the flat cap tassie and is a twist action using 0.9mm leads. The cap has the Parker imprint on the front and “Sterling Silver Made in U.S.A”” on the side and rear of the band.. It is fine working order with a little-used eraser under the cap and no brassing to the gold fill and no scratched on the silver parts.
Altogether a fine early 75 trio with an interesting nib.
