A stainless steel Waterman C/F fountain pen made in France in the 1970s, imprinted Waterman C/F on the cap and Made in France on the Barrel. The pen is in excellent condition and has a very smooth writing broad nib. It comes with a new-old-stock C/F converter and I will provide a spare NOS converter as well. The pen fills well and writes beautifully.
The C/F was probably Waterman’s most successful fountain pen in the postwar era. It was Waterman’s first cartridge/converter fountain pen. Designed by Harley J Earl associates who headed design at General Motors in the post-war era of the Corvette and rocket-inspired tailfins, the pen was launched in 1957 and introduced a striking new design look to Waterman for the first time since the War, with its black lacquer inlay in the section and inset nib. It was made for about 30 years in a range which eventually embraced plastic student pens, steel, silver, gold plated and solid gold pens
