The Parker 45 was introduced as a lower priced pen for students based on patents derived from their take-over of Eversharp. Positioned as a low cost pen compared to the premium 51 it was cheaper to make and launched in a wide range of colours. And It introduced the highly successful converter and ink cartridge and easily changed nibs. The nib was a small triangular hooded steel nib designed to be simply unscrewed. The Lustraloy cap has an arrow clip derived from the Parker 21.
This pen is burgundy red with the retail barrel imprint: “45 STUDENT F” and in the original box with the cartridges. and converter. It appears to have little if any use and is in mint condition.
