For sale is an older 1990s Pilot Capless fountain pen.
It's the lighter plastic construction, with the desirable earlier clip design. It's facetted with 18 sides. These are getting harder to find.
Those familiar with the pen will know that Pilot discontinued this version in 1998 when they introduced the newer and heavier metal bodies. They also changed the nib unit from 14k gold toned to 18k silver toned.
I do not know the history of this particular pen as it came from an estate. It seems at some point the previous owner changed to the newer nib unit design. This unit is stamped A904. "A" denotes the factory and 904 dates the nib unit to September 2004.
As noted its fitted with a medium nib. I dipped it to test and its a nice smooth writer with a medium plus line.
Asking $175US and $29 shipped in Canada and the US.
