Pens From left to right:
1) Visconti Avantime in matte red. Very smooth F nib. A very nice writer, it was lightly used and in excellent condition. C/C fill. There is some red ink residue on the nib and on the end of the section. Otherwise, the pen is in excellent condition cosmetically. $49Visconti Metropolis Limited Edition Gordian Knot(ruthenium-plated sterling silver cap and barrel) fountain pen, with Rhodium-plated 14kt gold Medium nib that was modified to a terrific stub by Richard Binder back in the day. The Metropolis has a retractable nib, and is an exceptionally well-engineered pen. The nib is extended and retracted by turning the piston knob at the bottom of the barrel. This knob is itself actuated, so that when it is in the extended position, it operates the internal converter much like a piston fill. I bought the pen new and used it very lightly. Visconti produced a Limited Edition series of 288 numbered pieces and this is pen No. 019 of 288. This is a really interesting, beautiful pen and works flawlessly. I do want to point out that it has a small ink capacity at about ½ ml. $360
