After Eversharp’s pen division was bought by Parker at the beginning of 1958, Parker established, Parker-Eversharp as a wholly owned subsidiary which it ran for 10 years, using it to make low-end pens and ballpoints for the school and college markets, alongside models from Parker like the 45. Some of the pens were originally developed by Eversharp and others developed from the subsidiary and some variants made in Parker Canada and the UK. In 1964 the Parker Eversharp Point *7 was brought out and I bought this pen as a summary of the Parker Eversharp history. The Imprints on the pen are a summary of the end of Eversharp and the relationship with Parker.
The clip has the Eversharp “E”; the front of the cap has the Eversharp imprint; the back of the cap has the Parker imprint and arrow logo.
The steel nib is a fine point, partially hooded and a very smooth writer.
The pen has a Parker converter and can also be used with Parker ink catridges.
(Information on the demise of Eversharp and the Parker Eversharp division is from the excellent parkerpens.net Penography by Tony Fischier.)
