Designed in collaboration with the Eames Office and certified by them, the pen has the signature of Ray and Charles Eames on the cap band. It was released in 1999 and the edition finished in 2020 and the design is archived.
The pen is made of brass with hand-applied graphics overlay with the iconic Eames chair designs. l The pen is mint and comes in the Acme Studio steel case and card sleeve.
(The pen comes as a rollerball but Acme can supply a fountain pen converter kit for around $38.)
Charles and Ray Eames were industrial designers who in the 1940s and 1950s designed iconic furniture, particularly chairs, and transformed furniture manufacture.
Acme Studios was founded in 1985 By Adrian Olabuenaga and his wife, Lesley Bailey to design jewellery and writing instruments in collaboration with designers, architects and artists.
