A handsome sterling silver dip pen in a finely hand-chased in the patch design, dating to about 1905.
The ferule has the Sterling imprint and a number which looks to be “103” but I cannot see a maker mark, though the chasing on the pen is very fine.
The pen is in good condition – the pattern is deeply hand-chased - but the end of the of the taper has dents; looks like it was chewed by an author searching for inspiration?
The pen is about 16cm without the nib and has a fine, flexible Esterbrook nib.
