Acme Studio created the Elvis Collection of five pens rollerball pens with the Elvis estate, launched in 2006; the pens are now in the permanent collection of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
The Blue Suede Shoes pen was released in 2009 in the edition of 1956 pens and sold out in 2011, after which the design was archived in the Acme Studio “Vault”.
The pen has a brass body and hand-applied graphics. The barrel has the iconic image of Elvis from “Blue Suede Shoes” and his signature on the cap. The cap band has the edition name and the limited-edition pen number 0435/1956, 1956 being the year that Elvis signed with RCA and released the song.
The pen is housed in the metal Elvis collection case. It is mint with un-opened rollerball cartridge.
(Acme Studio also provide an optional fountain pen converter kit with a steel medium nib and ink converter.)
