SOLD I purchased this pen new years ago, used it for several days and then cleaned it and stored it in its original case. The 18-K fine gold nib was manufactured by Omas and is characterized by its unique flexibility and smoothness. The lightness of this Omas pen, together with the particular flexibility makes for a very nice writing pen. There are some micro scratches, but overall it is near mint. It is piston fill. Includes original box and exterior cardboard sleeve.
The Omas Bibliotheque Nationale fountain pen was a late 1990's edition in honor of the National Library of France. I've seen it refrred to as both a special edition or a limited edition, but it is not numbered. Omas used an ivory vegetal resin with gold trim to symbolize the parchment manuscripts and the ivory, gold pen holders designed in the 1920's. The Bibliotheque is Milord size, at 13.5 cm (~5 3/8 inches).
This pen is fairly rare, and there don’t seem to be any recent sales, other than a crazy high one on eBay. Asking $475, shipped priority in US. I’m open to reasonable offers. Only trade I’m open to is toward Parker blue or red mosaic FP centennial size. PM or if you just prefer, you can email me at doug1808@gmail.com
