In 1929 Wahl introduced a new line of Gold Seal pens in Pyrolin plastics, the Personal Point pens with art deco styling, including this beautiful black and pearl oversize model. Though it was still in the Wahl catalogue in 1932 it was replaced by the Doric line announced in 1931 and so was relatively short-lived.
The Personal Point offered customers the option to select a nib most suited to their writing style with a nib/feed unit easily screwed into the section in the shop.
The pen has gold filled cap and barrel bands and cap seal with the triple deco cap band and Wahl Eversharp rollerball clip. This pen is the oversize model: closed the pen is 14.6cm and when the cap is posted, 17.5cm.
The nib has the imprint “Eversharp Gold Seal Flexible” and is a fine point with nice flex.
The pen is in fine condition with excellent colour - better than shows in the photographs - and no brassing, a beautiful pen and an expressive writer.
