A beautiful Parker 65 in turquoise blue with the Consort cap, made in England about 1970, in excellent condition and complete with the original case and converter.
The Consort cap design of horizontal rings and vertical lines was new with the mark II Parker 61 and shared with the Parker 65 at launch in 1969. The cap has the imprint: “PARKER MADE IN ENGLAND 1/5 12Ct R.GOLD”. This is a higher gold content than other rolled gold caps. The double jewels are grey. The barrel has the “65” model imprint just above the section ring.
The 14k nib is a smooth fine point.
A lovely example of the model 65 which was only made in England. In this Mark II form it shared components with the model 61 to provide the option of a more open nib.
