A pen for the Parker 61 enthusiast, of which I am one.
The Parker 61 was launched in the US in 1956 with the novel capillary filler and in 1957 a salesman demonstrator was issued to show off the new filling system. The 61 was not launched in the UK until 1964 and Newhaven also made a demonstrator for Parker salesmen to show the capillary filling system. This is the Newhaven 61 demonstrator and the only one I have come across. It is a fully working pen with clear section and barrel. It is in very good condition; there is a crack in the barrel above the threads which does not go into the threads and I think does not go all the way through the plastic. And a shorter crack at the top of the barrel, similarly. These cracks do not affect the functioning and use of the demonstrator.
