A fine Waterman silver plated C/F fountain pen in the fine-line milleraies pattern, made in France in the 1970s.
The pen is in excellent condition (I think it may be mint, I don’t recall ever using it), with a fine 18k nib and C/F converter.
The Waterman C/F was probably their most successful fountain pen in the postwar era. Designed by Harley J Earl associates who headed design at General Motors in the post-war era of the Corvette and rocket-inspired tailfins, the pen was launched in 1957 and introduced the modern cartridge/converter filler as well as a striking new look. Made for about 30 years in a range which eventually embraced plastic student pens, silver and gold plated pens and solid gold pens in beautiful patterns.
