Packaging is not the best. The outer box has scuffs and marks as shown. The pen itself is in excellent working and cosmetic condition. Piston knob moves smoothly. There is some minor brassing on the bottom of the barrel ring where the number is located. The number matches the certificate as shown. Note that while this is not the limited edition version it does have the PF marking on the nib denoting its early 1990s manufacture and desirability. It is a very beautiful and classic pen.
From the Pelikan Perch is information on the PF designation which explains why these nibs are desirable:
“They are often sought after due to their desirable properties. This actually has nothing to do with the hallmark and, more likely, is the result of the nib’s age. These older production (likely first generation) nibs, hallmarked or not, are well-regarded in general for their semi-flex properties and overall character, making them superior in the eyes of many when compared with today’s modern nails. The nibs that are hallmarked are likely produced no later than the early 1990’s.”
