A classic of 1970s pen design, the Parker Falcon brushed steel Flighter set. The pens' cap bands have the imprint “MADE IN USA” and date codes for 3Q’81 (fountain pen) and 2Q’82 (ballpoint). The fountain pen comes with the converter and the ballpoint with a working cartridge.
The Falcon was designed after the model T1, which was withdrawn after only a year when it proved to be too costly to make in titanium. The Falcon was made of steel and with a simpler nib design, lower cost to make and more rugged in use. Launched in 1978 with the integrated barrel and nib of the T1, it was a very successful design but non-the-less a short-lived model, withdrawn in 1982.
CONDITION: the set is in excellent, both pens appear to have had little use.
