A beautiful Parker 65 Consort Insignia Fountain Pen in , English c1970.
The consort design of horizontal rings and vertical lines was new with the Parker 61 and shared with the Parker 65 at launch in 1969.
The cap has the imprint: “PARKER MADE IN ENGLAND 1/5 12Ct R.GOLD”.
The pen has the original converter. The 14k nib is a very smooth fine, firm writer. (Although the 65 pens have more open nibs than the 61 they are not, in my experience, usually more flexible.)
Closed the pen is 13.6cm and with the cap posted, 14.3cm.
It comes with the impressive Parker 65 cream and black polka-dot case with red satin lining..
A fine example of this impressive pen.
CONDITION: excellent, no scratches or dings to the rolled gold, excellent cap and barrel jewels, converter and a very smooth nib with lots of tipping. The case is in good condition with just a few marks and closes well.
