The Ventura, labelled the “Burp” because it drinks ink fast, was the last pen launched by Eversharp before they sold the pen division to Parker at the end of 1957. This Ventura set of fountain pen (No. 723) and pencil (No. 1723) is the top of the range sterling silver set and dates from about 1955. Pen and pencil are in smooth sterling silver with groups of fine lines and the pen has a burgundy section. It has a similar filler to the parker aerometric. The set was unused (NOS) when I bought it and still has the price labels: $15 for the pen and $10 for the pencil. The pen has an Eversharp14k fine to medium nib. It comes with the original case, outer card box and instructions.
Condition: The set was NOS when I bought it and I have inked it just once to test so it is “almost NOS”. The case is in excellent condition with just the elastic pen/pencil strap come adrift, complete with instructions and the outer card box.
