Actually, this week you can have your choice of two of the best looking Nakayas on the market. Both are the Blue Rose Raden. On the left is a 17mm Portable Cigar and on the right is the Naka-ai. Both feature the rose design on the cap created using raden, with smaller bits of the same material on the barrel that apparently represent either rose petals or dew drops. Both are the very popular Heki Tamenuri finish, with the 17mm Portable being darker brown and the Naka-ai being a bit lighter brown. Think semi-sweet vs. milk chocolate. The Naka-ai also has kanji on the barrel that translates to "cherish" or "treasure".
Each cartridge converter filled pen is about 145 mm long capped and 132 mm long uncapped. The 17mm Portable has a 14K gold Medium nib. The Naka-ai has a 14K gold Two Tone Medium nib that appears to have been ground to a very forgiving Cursive Italic which looks and writes just a touch differently than the regular Medium. Writing samples of both are included with the pictures below.
Both pens have been lightly used and are of course complete with their boxes, kimonos, and box of cartridges
