This first one is the main interview from Monday (I'm not sure if you'll be able to read it without a subscription (maybe with a FREE subscription?) ...
Olympic gold medalist Jade Carey on returning to college gymnastics: ...
This is at least the third time Nick Daschel has tried to spread this FAKE NEWS ...
"Carey has two years of college eligibility remaining, as she competed as a freshman during the pandemic, when there was a free year of eligibility."
1. Jade has only ONE year of college eligibility remaining ... although she may have two years to compete one ... so after she competes this coming year, in more than 1/3 of the meets, she is done.
2. Jade DID NOT compete "as a freshman during the pandemic" ... during the pandemic she was training to compete at the Olympics ... she WAS a freshman during the COVID season (2021), but she didn't compete that season!
Here is a second article (you need a FREE or paid subscription to read this one) ...
Is Oregon State gymnast Jade Carey thinking about a run at the 2028 LA
The answer is NO ...
"“Right now, I’m just kind of choosing to focus on this next year in college and take it one step at a time and see what happens,” Carey said."
Most of the article is about Jade (& Brian) being sick leading up to/through qualifications & getting to Vault finals to win the Bronze medal!
Go Beavs!!,
