OSU Gymnastics competed in the Second Round of the NCAA Regional Championships in Fayetteville on Thursday. OSU scored a 196.450, they placed fourth in the evening session and so missed qualifying for the Finals on Saturday by 0.525. (At 196.950, the team tie-breaker would have gone to Minnesota.)
OSU had the 7th highest score among the nine teams at the Fayetteville Regional.

Jade Carey was the Fayetteville Regional All-Around Champion … and advanced to Nationals to compete for National titles as an individual!
She scored 39.675!

Jade now has 117 Career Event Wins (of 176 "events" 66.5% wins) ... the OSU Record ... to Chari Knight's 116!!

She was also the Regional Champion on Beam (9.950), and Floor (Tie, 10.000)!
Natalie Briones and Jade Carey scored 9.900s for a six-way tie for 4th, along with!)
Sage Thompson scored a 9.925 on Bars for a two-way tie for 2nd!
A Boise State gymnast scored a 9.950 and will be the individual qualifier on Bars.
The Boise State gymnast got three 9.950s & one 9.900 ... Sage got two 9.950s and two 9.900s ... IF Sage had gotten another 9.950 it would have been a tie ... after first tie-breaker (count all judges scores) ... in second tie-breaker (compare Head Judge's (J1) score) so Sage would have had to have a 9.950 from J1 rather than the 9.900 ... if that was the case ... Sage would have advanced to Nationals as the highest NQS ranked gymnast!
Olivia Buckner scored a 9.900 on Vault to place in a four-way tie for 4th ... with gymnasts from three teams in Regional Finals she won’t qualify to Nationals.
Sophia Esposito was 6th in the AA with a 39.200.
