Welcome to the
Unofficial Message Board for Oregon State Gymnastics!
Phoebe Jakubczyk (2021-22) was named as a “last hour” substitute to Great Britain’s European Gymnastics Championships team to take the place of one of the Gadirova twins.
The GBR women’s competition schedule in Basel Switzerland is …
(all 4 gymnasts can compete AA … 2 per country into each finals)
Wed 4/21 - AA & Apparatus qualifications (~109 gymnasts):
Subdivision 2 (2 GBR gymnasts), 4:30am to 6:30am PDT
(Start 1st & 2nd on Floor, then shift line-up to Vlt, Brs, & end on Bm.)
Subdivision 3 (2 GBR gymnasts), 7am to 9am PDT
(Start 7th & 8th on Bars, then shift line-up to Bm, Flr, & end on Vlt.)
(It may not be known which Subdivision Phoebe is in until the day before the event … or until the start lists appear on the stats site?)
Fri 4/23 - AA Finals - Top-24 from qualifications:
4:30am to 6:30am PDT
Sat 4/24 - Vlt & Brs Finals - Top-8 from qualifications:
Vlt: 5:10am to 5:55am PDT ; Bars: Finals - 6:10 to 6:55am PDT
Sun 4/25 - Bm & Flr Finals - Top-8 from qualifications:
Bm: 4:00am to 4:45am PDT ; Flr: 5:00am to 5:45am PDT
(Short video of GBR training today... shows some of Phoebe on beam (0:33-0:58)... plus maybe her briefly on bars later. Podium training is tomorrow.)
As best as I can tell … qualifications will be covered by live video streaming with live stats (currently this site contains the results from last December’s European Gymnastics Championships).
I have no idea the chances of seeing Phoebe in any of the qualifications (with ~31 & ~29 gymnasts in those two subdivisions, respectively; 6 rotating with the 2 GBR gymnasts in each subdivision).
All Finals will be web streamed on EuroVisionSports.tv (as far as I can tell this should be viewable in the USA … as this UEG Newsletter states “finals are available worldwide”!)
Also, (I assume only) for computers “located” in the UK... the BBC is supposed to be covering all of the finals online either BBC.com or their iPlayer (with some brief LIVE coverage and Highlights on BBC-2 TV).
Go Beavs!!,
Richard
