Welcome to the
Unofficial Message Board for Oregon State Gymnastics!
The Master team for Great Britain was announced today... They give awards to the top 3 all-around gymnasts.
Phoebe Jakubczyk!
Lucy Stanhope (Utah 2020-21)
Alice Sumners* (Jr.)
Jennifer Gadirova (Jr.)
*(Alice is Phoebe's club-mate at The Academy)
The 4 Master teams compete Saturday (7:30a-10a PST) against the top-4 Open teams (of the 28 that compete on Friday). The other 4 Master teams are from Russia, France, & Canada. (There cannot be more than 2 teams from 1 country in the 8 team Masters competition.)
Russia's Master team:
Lilia AKHAIMOVA (22nd AA at Sr. Worlds, Team Silver)
Viktoria LISTUNOVA (Jr. World Team Gold)
Iana VORONA (Jr. World Team Gold)
Maria MINAEVA (Jr.)
France's Master team:
Morgane OSYSSEK (Sr. 9th AA & Vlt Bronze at French Championships 2019)
Alizée LETRANGE-MOUAKIT (Jr., AA Gold French Championships 2019)
Taïs BOURA (Jr., World Team member)
Kaylia NEMOUR (Jr., 2019 Swiss Cup Juniors, Gold Brs, Silver AA, Bm, & Team).
Canadian Master team (only 3):
Sophie Marois (Sr., 2018 Worlds Team member)
Mia St-Pierre (1st yr Sr., Silver Vlt at 2019 Canadian Championships)
Kyra Cato (Jr.)
The competition format is 4 up on each event, 3 scores count. The rotation order of teams will be drawn on Thursday. 2 teams on each apparatus.
Qualification to Sunday's apparatus finals ("Top Massilia") will be the top-8 on each event (combined Jr./Sr., max 2 per country)... if a gymnast competed both Open & Master, the Master score is used for rank. Vault Finals are those that did 2 different vlts in qualifications.
Rules are FIG, except Vault uses the Junior modification... which as far as I can tell is just ... the 2 vaults have to be different (= different number), they don't have to be in different groups as in the "normal" FIG rules (also, if different groups, they don't have to have different flight off of table).
The Gymnova Cup goes to the top Junior.
Go Beavs!!,
Richard
