Welcome to the
Unofficial Message Board for Oregon State Gymnastics!
Doesn't look like anyone is in charge of Rankings anymore. I guess it's easier to decide to switch to RQS on "Week 8" (last Monday of February) than to figure out when it makes sense to switch.
It's good for OSU , in that OSU likely will not drop as much last week in the switch as OSU would have this week (4-spots) ... that is assuming they score well at ASU!
OSU has the 7th highest HIGH score (ahead of #4 Utah, & behind #7 UGA) ... and OSU has a Lower "score to be dropped"(195.225) (next week (from they're current RQS 6 scores) ... of any team ranked 1-to-16 ... plus #18 UW, #20 ASU, #21 Arkansas. #17 BYU has a 194.575 to drop next week (they are #21 by RQS) ... #19 Missouri has a bye week, so no change from current RQS (by RQS they are #15, OSU is #16 ... to pass Mizzou OSU needs just a 195.675).
National Rankings
(Only 1 more "official" score changed from Sunday night to today's Rankings... Pittsburgh's )
Official 2/17 rankings of the Pac-12: UCLA (198.025) moves up 1 to #2, Utah (197.075) remains #4, Oregon State remains #12, California (196.15) drops 1 to a tie for #15, Washington (196.250) remains #18, ASU (195.65) remains #20, Stanford (195.85) moves up 3 to #23, and Arizona (194.975) remains #25.
More Trivia:
There were 13 Season Highs among the Top-36 (by Avg or RQS).
Four Teams in the Top-36 have two meets this week...
#4 Utah (#4 by RQS)
#23 Stanford (#23 by RQS)
#26 WVU (#25 by RQS)
#27 NC State (#26 by RQS)
... only #19 Missouri (#15 by RQS) has a bye.
Go Beavs!!,
Richard
