Having just come back from week of North Carolina warm clear water diving, I am amazed how cool the water is here, when will it warm up??? The water there is warm, and clear, I mean really clear!!! And lots of small fish that like to nibble on masks, why I don’t know… Still it is nice to be home..
And where are the Fluke? – After the epic start I had with my bent pole spear, pulling quickly away from some other equally famous spearfishing divers, I now can’t find a fish to even to keep up – It is as if they were all taken away by some other worldly force. No one I know has seen a bunch piled up anywhere, maybe they just are not saying… Contrary to what some people believe the Lady Godiver has been working quietly on several projects over the past few months, both north and south of the inlet. Several important, but I am sure silly announcements are soon to follow. Having just logged my 37st dive of the 2015 season I am amused by the amount of expert divers that, well, don’t really dive at all? They talk like they do lol. North Carolina is full of them and so is New Jersey, year after year, all they do is talk, and usually with a beer in their hand lolol, always watching what everyone else is doing, getting more and more out of shape. And always quick to make comments about how you should be doing something. I even had an individual telling me how to dig with a scooter and they never even used one! Sad, it seems they live in this magical world where time has stopped. Please get a grip, if you don’t dive, you are not a diver, does not that make sense?
Guys, Please Black Sea Bass season has ended… Why is this so difficult for some individuals to understand – some people say it is because they don’t have a master’s degree. I say it is because they don’t give a give a crap, they are tired of being over regulated to the point of not making any sense at all, Like 18 inch fluke limit, saving all the smaller ones for the commercial guys to rake in – What a messed up system – what a great plan, lol, screw everyone, so a few commercial guys can make more money, so stupid. I have an idea, let’s all pay for some artificial reefs so the commercial guys can put traps on them and make money, oh wait its been done before lololol Sorry lolol I would like to congratulate Harry M the IV, for catching his first lobster in three years of trying. If what I heard thru the grapevine is true, that 1.25 lber put up an amazing struggle. Lolol, Just be careful Harry sometimes they have two claws – aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh – god knows the shark teeth are safe – aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Ok sorry -
Oh and if you spear Fluke off of Atlantic City, you can NOT say it is the same as if you speared them from Manasquan Inlet, so Donger your photos of those 18.0125inch Atlantic City Halibut don’t count – SORRRYYYYYYYYYY – aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh – do that on the DVD and I will be impressed, till then PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEE lololololol – WHAT NOW!!!!!
And finally to both my friends Capt Stan and Bobby Harris – Yes we doing the nite dives, I know I have been slacking, but be prepared I may take all those juicy lobsters - I will be in touch

If the Administration would publish the Final Rule on the Proposal quoted below the resolution to this would be started.
NJ DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION NATURAL AND HISTORIC RESOURCES DIVISION OF FISH AND WILDLIFE
Notice of Rule Proposal Marine Fisheries: General Net Regulations, N.J.A.C. 7:25-18.5, and Artificial Reefs, N.J.A.C. 7:25-18.5A
PUBLIC NOTICE
Take notice that the NJ Department of Environmental Protection is proposing amendments to the rules governing general net regulations at N.J.A.C. 7:25-18.5 and proposing a new rule, Artificial Reefs, at N.J.A.C. 7:25-18.5A to limit the use of lobster, fish and conch pots on the Sandy Hook and Axel Carlson Reefs to specific "full access zones" within each reef. Commercial and recreational anglers and sport/scuba divers will continue to have full access to all parts of the reefs including the full access zones.
The proposed amendments and new rule require that commercial and recreational lobster potters setting and tending gear within the full access zones do so only between the hours of sunrise and sunset and that they call the Marine Law Enforcement Headquarters two hours prior to doing so. Individual pots set in these zones must be marked with a buoy and a string of pots must have a buoy attached to both ends. Buoys or flags shall meet the requirements of NOAA's take reduction plans for Atlantic Large Whale, Harbor Porpoise and Bottlenose Dolphin. All strings shall be limited to 20 pots. Penalty structures for violating these requirements are included in the proposed amendments and new rule and are based on a 1st, 2nd and in some cases a 3rd offense. Fines and penalties range from $100.00 to $200.00 and suspension of license or permanent revocation. The proposed amendments and new rule provide for forgiveness of a violation following a period of compliance.
Wait a minute> Fines of $100 to $200? Why even bother? I read an interesting post on a fishing web site today. It stated there has been good fluke fishing along the beach until Sat. The poster said he has been watching the commercial draggers towing along the beach late last week and now the fluke are gone. There is a site where you can track the commericial fishing boats and that's what he used. Be careful what you report as it may be used by others that will clean out an area. Crap!!!
