Today it was Harley and a special guest star (Glen Andyson) joining me for some diving on the GOAT. The seas were nice all day and we had a great day out there. The first stop was the Choppara and it was a nice dive. While Harley looked for fish I stay more around the Boilers and looked for lobster. We both accomplished our goals as I got a limit of lobster and Harley got some nice Fluke. The vis was 15 to 20 and I think bottom temp was around 53. I dove wet for the first time this year and it was great. For lunch Harley brought delicious chicken for everyone, it was great! Next dive we headed offshore a few miles to a snag we have not hit in years and it was unbelievable . There were so many fish around the wreck I had a tough time snagging the wreck! When Harley and I got to the bottom we barley swam around since it was a real shooting gallery. With only a two fish sea bass limit we picked out some big fish and then Harley went to work on the lobster. Vis was even better on this site By the end of the day the cooler would not close. On the ride back in Harley surprised us once again with shrimp cocktail- great stuff!. This will most likely be one of our best days on the water this year. We had fluke, sea bass and many lobster in the 4 lb range and could have taken many more if the not for the limits. I Hope you all get out there this weekend
You were there to verify the results. I think I was pretty honest with the report. I have to give you some of the credit for recommending the second stop
Yep, everything you reported, it reminded me of the old days with stuffed coolers. I was joking meaning that anybody reading your report would be thinking this is just a "fish story".
