Boats are in the water

The Lady Godiver splashed Friday and we took the Goat over today to drop Bart and his daughter off at the boat ( Its a high security marina and the gate was locked today). Bart took off first with the Godiver and I followed until we got out in the bay. I felt kind of bad seeing my boat in someone elses hands. If someone else is going to run her I am glad its Bart. Its strange but when he turned the key it cranked but did not start so I turned the key and it started right up. I guess the boat was more used to me. I took the lead as we got closer to my house and we both docked up. Barts marina will not be open till may so the boat will stay here until then. I think he is planning on sprucing up the exterior cabin while its here. Hopefully we both get out a lot this year and have no problems.

How about some pictures of the old girl and the Goat. BTW what do the initials stand for?

What initials? Its just a name to remind me of my pet goat! If it was initials what could it stand for?
I forgot about the site, I guess its his now.

I know how you feel I sold the Hatteras while I was in the keys. After you've had a boat for a while it's a very funny feeling knowing it's now someone else now owns it. But I also sold it to a good guy and he'll enjoy it like Bart will enjoy Lady Godiver. They say the second best time of owning a boat is when you sell it, I don't agree. With this weather the Tuna will be a little while before it's back in the water. Capt. Bill

I can only imagine the feeling. But I know Bart had talked about owning a boat for quite awhile. Knowing how fond is was of going out with you, I know he will care for the Lady Go Diver as much as you had for all of those years Howard.

Thanks guys. Bart already has it looking better. He did a great job cleaning the hull and waxing it. Its at my house now and I think he is going to paint the outside of the cabin next. He got it surveyed for insurance before going in the water and very few recs. He just needs to stay away from the skinny water that I always seem to find.
Bill I was surprised to hear you sold the Hatteras! Where are you going to stay in Fla?

I'll worry about Fl. next winter my thoughts at the present are to stay here and try and get a car or two finished (be lucky to get one done, but I can hope). I have a coupe I started and a roadster both 1959 A's. I'll either run out of time or money doing it. If the cold really starts to get to me I'll rent a house, motel or whatever. I still have the 23 aquasport down there if I go.Haven't stayed here over winter for quite a few years but it is what it is. Capt. Bill
