Well this past weekend we were scheduled to run Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Friday and Saturday were great, but Sunday saw a lovely wind blowing out of the Northeast which kept everyone at the dock.
Friday’s trip to the Stolt gave us 30 feet of horizonal and 70 feet of vertical visibility. Everyone came home with a Black fish and a bunch of lobsters. Tim even came back with a light fixture with an intact light bulb. I am can’t wait to see if he gets it to light up.
Saturday we headed the Tolten with the Explorers Club and Underwater Adventures. When we arrived we found a lobster boat and a private dive sitting on the wreck. The lobster boat finished setting their pots and moved on pretty quick and the private boat allowed us to find a great spot next to them and off we went. The bottom seemed to have cooled off to a brisk 48 degrees but we still had great visibility. We filled the catch cooler with lobster and Fluke. The sun barely came out which kept the cool which made a comfortable surface interval.
Sunday, we went to breakfast as the wind was howling. Tommy came along with me to handle some maintenance. I figured we start with the messiest job, changing the oil in the motors and then working on some lights. Tommy stepped up and made a great helper.
