TUNA SEAZURE Trip Report and Schedule

Tuesday 6/24

A DAY THAT WILL LIVE IN INFAMY!

We would set off this morning with 3 divers and 2 crew......that is 5 for the record!

Surface conditions were excellent as Cappy had the Old Girl flying somewhere north of 20 knots. After a 25 minute run we showed up at the Tuesday Wreck.
Surface viz not too bad, but bottom viz was excellent, probably 25 ft (+), Colder today at maybe 48*-50*........now to the good stuff...........Very big Sea Bass everywhere!!!!!!!
Antennae....attached to big bugs were everywhere as well. This is by far the biggest haul I have been involved with since I started diving. (I cleaned fish for 2 hours and 50 minutes) I broke 2 of my 3 bands on my gun. Everybody (even me) got a load of fish......then there was PJ......who now we may have to come up with a nickname.........it'll have to be something about bungees or lobsters........boy did Konger create a monster!......PJ came up with a bag so full I don't think he could have gotten another bug in there had he tried.

OK with that being said........last weekend of the bountiful Sea Bass harvests.
Starting July it goes to 3 per diver!

We have 2 for Thursday, Sounded like there was some interest for Friday, Saturday need a couple to run and Sunday is wide open. I can only say this...........diving recently has been awesome, the time to get out there is now!

They have a right to be proud. In these times that's a great catch for a few divers. Heck, there are boats with 16 that don't come close.
We all know that a more modest person such as yourself would just shrug it off, not say a word and quietly slip away unnoticed.
