Shark River Inlet 48 degrees..and 21ft near rocks!

Guess the rain dropped the water temp which I heard last weekend was 50.. The biggest surprise was the water depth. The deepest I have seen the inlet is 25 ft and that is near the bridge or under bridge near middle on avon side.

On the A street side where I was yesterday, the depth was normally 17 max, yesterday it was 21ft. It was not the highest tide cycle. Vis was 5-7 which I found better than I expected since Tuesday's downpour.

Very little life other than hidden crabs and one loan fluke.

Bottom has changed significantly. I didnt find any post storm goodies, just lots of weights.. Its my go-to place when I can't get off shore. Before the storm I could have dived that blind, not anymore.

As always it felt GREAT to get in water, no matter how much I was shivering!!! (no dry suit)..

ANGELA. JUST TO LET YOU KNOW THE OYSTERS YOU GAVE ME WHERE THE BEST I EVER ATE BAR NON..MY WIFE DOES NOT EAT OYSTERS. BUT MADE ME OPEN ONE AFTER ANOTHER EVEN WANTED TO USE THE HAMMER BECAUSE I COULD NOT OPEN THEM THAT FAST SHE REALLY LIKED THE ONE WITH THE PEARL THE BEST.NOW SHE TELLS ME HELL WITH THE LOBSTERS AND FISH DIVE FOR THE OYSTERS.MY LAST DIVE WAS TWO WEEKS AGO SOME ONE ASKED ME TO DIVE IN THERE POOL TO RETRIVE THERE STUFF THAT THE STORM TOSSED IN AND BRING UP THE POOL COVER.AND I GOT PAYED PLUS MY DRY SUIT IS SO CLEAN NOW EVEN THE RUST STAINS ARE GONE..HAVE A MARRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY-HEALTHY NEW YEAR.SEE YOU AT THE DIVERS FLEAMARKET IN FEB.
