At least this one isn't under the cover of darkness like the tons of ingots brought into Point Pleasant several years ago.

GO BACK TO FLA. KEEP DIGING YOUR ATOCHA IN YOUR BACK YARD. LEAVE US JERSEY WRECK DIVER ALONE.LET GET CHRIS CRISTI HE WILL TELL THEM WHERE TO GO.AND THEN TAX THE SHIT OUT OF THEM.I THINK THEY NEED AN OUT OF STATE BEACH PASS $$, CHARGE THEM FOR BEACH PARKING$$ DISTURBING MY FISHING AND LOBSTER GROUNDS $$.CALL THE EPA $$.MAY BE ITS TIME FOR ALL THE JERSEY WRECK DIVERS AND BOAT CAPTS TO START LAYING CLAIMS TO EVERY WRECK REEF AND ROCK PILE IN THE STATE. People That use the legal system of this country to take over the sea bottom for their own gain of wealth should pull their Heads out of their asses, before they stop breathing!!!!! Why does not he just lay claim to a 10 by 10 square mile plot of bottom and not let anyone even motor over it...And a Florida diver to!!!,,please take your pretty colored BC and 3 mil wet suit and get a grip..... Florida diver lays claim to NJ wreck my ass... I bet he thinks he is real important with a huge ego, most likely a rebreather diver with less than 100 dives total, what a Jerk O_F.....I am so sick of people like this, everything is mine, mine , mine.....I got a message for him - This is NJ Diving, where the water is cold, the Vis is limited and the sea bottom is the last free frontier left, so take your claim and go back to your easy, soft, no touch, warm and fuzzy, caribbean diving before you get your ass kicked by a pack of NJ Moon Snails ..... Stupid F-ck

You bring up a good point? YES, theres your answer lol - no one better tell me i cant take crap off the bottom if i found it especially Gold coins, million year old shark teeth 40 miles out, delaware bells, arundo portholes, dividers off the tolten, port holes off the gulftrader and tolten, ink wells off the delaware, lost anchors off every other wreck, lost fishing lures that are all over the place,and locomotive shaped sinkers.......

Its bad enough we live in this state where everything we do is micromanaged and monitored - now we have to worry about rusting lost junk on the bottom that will never be raised..... PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

Uh, I forgot to mention. Remember the bow of the Doria was arrested not long ago so somebody could lay claim to a Mosaic? We have our own "grubbers" among us, let alone from FL.

I say let them do their thing, not that we can stop them. They'll help the local economy, marina, fuel, supplies, food, etc.
If they do happen to find the "treasure" the vultures will swoop out of the air, State, Feds, Insurance, lawyers, historians, etc. When all said and done they'll be lucky to have enough for a good surf & turf dinner after expenses. This is more about the ego notoriety.
To be honest it wouldn't surprise me if the majority of the loot has already been recovered by some locals, smart enough to keep their mouth shut. Let's see how this plays out, some interesting times ahead.
