Getting Blown Out In Hatteras

Small Craft Advisory

The DIVERSION DIVE GROUP rolled up to Hatteras Saturday to the remnants of Hurricane Leslie. The beach weather is great, but diving is off till Wednesday. We're here for two weeks so stay tuned for pics and reports. We WILL get under water eventually.

Synopsis...HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD OVER THE EASTERN SEABOARD THROUGH MONDAY AND CONTINUE IN PLACE THROUGH MUCH OF THE WEEK.
Today: N winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. Dominant period 12 seconds.

Tonight: N winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Dominant period 12 seconds.

Tue: N winds 15 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Dominant period 11 seconds.

Tue Night: NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Dominant period 11 seconds.

Wed: NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 to 4 ft.

Wed Night: NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 to 4 ft.

Thu: E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.

Fri: E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.

Getting blown out for a few days is just part of a Hatteras trip. Enjoy the beaches and seafood.

We're with the LION'S PAW. It's a a six pack. The Capt. stopped by today and said we're going to give it a whirl tomorrow. Dixie Arrow, I think. We went down to the ferry, did some souvenir shopping and checked out the lighthouse before hitting the pool.

Got some great dives in yesterday and today. Dixie Arrow and Keshena yesterday and British Splendor and Abrams today. All the dives were chocked full of Sand Tigers , barracudas, triggers and on and on. I got some kick ass video and pics which I'll be posting on my website in the next day or two.Tomorrow maybe the Tarpon and Proteus. We'll see.

I HAVE DONE THAT DRIVE AND DIVE TO NORTH CAROLINA MANY TIMES.WHEN THE DIVING IS GOOD ITS GREAT WARM WATER GREAT VIZ LOT OF SEA LIFE, SHARKS, U-352.LOTS OF BRASS TO BRING HOME AND DO NOT FORGET ABOUT THE BOILED PEANUNTS,THANKS JIMMY CARTER AND FRESH GULF SHRIMP TO HULL HOME.BUT THEN AGAIN I HAVE ALSO BEEN BLOWN OUT BUT ALWAYS MANAGED TO GET A FEW GOOD DAYS OF DIVING...HELLO TO HELEN B. TRY THE GRITS AND PECAN PANCAKES OR WAFFELS YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY YOUALL COME BACKNOW HEAR.DO THEY TALK FUNNY OR IS IT JUST ME?.
